Level 2 - Working as a Door Supervisor in the private security industry
WHAT DOES THE DOOR SUPERVISOR COURSE COVER?
• the main characteristics of the private security industry
• understanding the law when working as a door supervisor
• safe working practices and emergency procedures
• the searching of people and property
• keeping vulnerable people safe
• the powers of arrest of a door supervisor
• incident reporting and crime scene preservation
Assessment of the Door Supervisor Course is divided into 4-units and is assessed through 3 multiple-choice examinations: 1-written test and a practical test (please see below).
UNIT 1: WORKING IN THE PRIVATE SECURITY INDUSTRY Assessed by a multiple-choice examination of 1-hour consisting of 40-questions. Learners must achieve a score of at least 28 out of 40 to pass this unit.
UNIT 2: WORKING AS A DOOR SUPERVISOR WITHIN THE PRIVATE SECURITY INDUSTRY Assessed by a multiple-choice examination of 1-hour 15-minutes and consisting of 45-questions. Learners must achieve a score of at least 32 out of 45 to pass this unit.
UNIT 3: CONFLICT MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE PRIVATE SECURITY INDUSTRY Assessed by a multiple-choice examination of 30-minutes and consisting of 20-questions. Learners must achieve a score of at least 14 out of 20 to pass this unit.
UNIT 4: PHYSICAL INTERVENTION SKILLS WITHIN THE PRIVATE SECURITY INDUSTRY Assessed in two parts. Part one is a practical test and part two is a written test set by the Awarding Body. Learners must achieve a 100% pass mark in both tests.
After completing the course, you will be accredited RQF Level 2 qualification HABC Certificate.
What will I need to bring to the course?
All learners must provide WSG with 2 documents that prove your current address (dated within 3 months) and valid identification in order to complete the course.
